We are approaching the final phase of our coin upgrade, as approved by the community through governance proposals. This upgrade will unify our coin to its native home, MANTRA Chain, and $OM will become $MANTRA with a 4x non-dilutive redenomination and coin split.

To better support dozens of exchange partners and allow more time between the ERC20 OM deprecation on 15th January and the technical implementation of the MANTRA upgrade, the timeline has been updated from 19th January to 2nd March. This extended window provides additional time for exchange side technical coordination, infrastructure readiness, and operational validation to ensure a smooth and orderly transition.

The transition is a two-step process culminating in the Ticker Change and Token Split on March 2nd, 2026. While these dates are our firm targets, the final execution is dependent on chain consensus, network stability and coordination with our exchange partners. We will immediately advise if this target date is changed for any reason.

What This Means for You

• If you hold $OM on MANTRA Chain (or on a supporting exchange): You are all set. The ticker change and 1:4 coin split will happen automatically and safely on March 2nd. Your wallet balance will be automatically updated with the new ticker and 4x the coin count.

• If you still hold $OM on an EVM Network (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Base): Your tokens are at risk of being stranded. Please use the official migration tool to migrate your $OM to MANTRA Chain before the January 15th deadline.

• ‍If you still hold $OM on another Cosmos Blockchain (Stargaze, Osmosis, etc.): Your tokens are at risk of not getting the 1:4 redenomination. Please IBC bridge your OM coins to MANTRA Chain now.
